Laura Mannion

Dear Colleagues:

I am very pleased to announce that Laura Mannion, Ed.D., CFRE, has joined the Office of Institutional Advancement as Director of Development. She will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, identifying, cultivating and soliciting prospects for establishing endowed scholarships and planned gifts, and collaborating with colleges, business units and the Institutional Advancement team to achieve university fundraising campaign goals

Laura, a proud PNW alumna, most recently was director of Institutional Advancement at Governors State University Foundation in University Park, Illinois. In five years with GSU, she increased annual foundation revenue from $750,000 to $2 million, brought in six-figure scholarships and planned gifts, and expanded employee giving participation by 25%. She brings to PNW an extensive track record in development for higher education, healthcare and nonprofit organizations, raising upwards of $80 million over her career thus far.

Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from PNW, a master’s in Non-Profit Management from Spertus College in Chicago, and her doctorate in Education with an Organizational Development concentration from Argosy University in Chicago. She also has achieved the Certified Fund Raising Executive Designation (CFRE) and served as a summer fellow in Higher Education Administration at Vanderbilt University. She is a Hammond native who lives in Northwest Indiana and has been involved in many community organizations including local Rotary, Kiwanis, chambers of commerce, Meals on Wheels of Northwest Indiana, South Shore Arts and Hospice of the Calumet Area.

Please join me in welcoming Laura to Purdue Northwest.

Sincerely,

Lisa J. Goodnight, Ph.D.
