Transition to Faculty, June 30, 2024

April 21, 2023
Tom Keon

Dear Colleagues,

It has been my honor and privilege to serve as the Chancellor of Purdue University Northwest these past 12 years.  As you may know, the Purdue University system has a policy limiting how long one can serve in leadership positions.  For the last few years, I have known that my last day as Chancellor will be June 30, 2024.

In this morning’s Purdue Today, President Mung Chiang and the Board of Trustees announced that Trustee Malcolm DeKryger will be chairing a search advisory committee for the next Chancellor of Purdue Northwest and more information will be forthcoming at the end of the academic year.

This leadership transition is an important part of the evolution of PNW and these kinds of transitions have occurred over the last 75 years.  I have appreciated and enjoyed serving Purdue Northwest, its students, faculty, staff, and community and I will continue to do so for the next year and beyond.

Sincerely,

Tom Keon
