Dear Colleagues,

Throughout the fall 2024 semester, you have continued to make Purdue University Northwest a university that transforms students’ lives and our communities.

I am looking forward to Saturday, Dec. 14 when we celebrate our hardworking candidates for graduation at fall commencement. These candidates have persevered through many challenges to attain their degrees from PNW, and it is one of the greatest joys of my role to congratulate each of them as they walk across that stage. Recently, I had a very engaging discussion with four outstanding candidates for graduation on the Dec. 5 PNW Today program. I invite you to view a recording of the program and to hear their compelling stories. Their stories will fill you with pride.

As I noted earlier this academic year, every PNW faculty and staff member is integral to enhancing our students’ experiences. I am incredibly proud of our faculty and staff for their continued dedication to exceptional classroom experiences and for including our students in major applied research initiatives, mentoring students on their career paths, and for supporting students in athletics and extra-curricular experiences. I additionally extend my appreciation to our shared governance groups, including Faculty Senate, Student Government, CSSAC, MaPSAC, and other committees for your active involvement. A special thank you to everyone who has participated in our new strategic planning process. Finally, thank you, all, for going above and beyond to help move PNW forward.

We have much to be excited about in 2025. Until then, I wish you a restful holiday season and winter recess. Please enjoy your time away from campus, take time to recharge, and continue to share with your neighbors and friends all the great things we are accomplishing together here at PNW.

Sincerely,

Kenneth C. Holford
