Telehealth Visits to Incur a Small Fee

As a result of the American Relief Act of 2025, participants enrolled in HSA-eligible high-deductible health plans — such as Purdue’s medical plans — are now required to pay for non-preventive telehealth visits. Participants who engage with the Center for Healthy Living’s telehealth program will be notified of a $5 fee for service prior to receiving care.
Congress is expected to revisit this policy in March. If further changes are required, HR Benefits will provide additional information.
The telehealth program is an effort to provide convenient and timely access to acute care and healthcare consultation. We believe that access to medical care shouldn’t be hindered by financial decisions or arbitrary barriers. To overcome those hurdles, we have staffed a dedicated care team that is now accessible to you 24/7.
Who is eligible?
- All benefit-eligible employees.
- Spouses and dependent children age 2 and older covered on a Purdue medical plan.
How do I use the CHL Telehealth service?
Simply text the CHL Telehealth team at (765) 705-0584. The care team will ask each new patient to complete a Registration Form which initiates HIPAA-compliant consent documentation for communication and health history. You may also choose to download our app to communicate with the telehealth team.
