In a partnership between the Department of History and Philosophy and the Purdue University Northwest Library, graduate students Josh Birky, Sam Dobberstein, and Andy Collins have made significant strides in digitizing historical materials at both the Hammond and Westville campuses.

Porter County native Jami Heying has devoted her life to animals. Jami graduated from Purdue Northwest in Westville in 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies and began her own nonprofit, Friends of La Porte County Animal Shelters, Inc., in March.

Christian Porter is majoring in History at Purdue Northwest and not long ago, Christian wrote his own book about basketball in the Hoosier state.

Dr. Kincaid is an expert in Latin American history specializing in indigenous and environmental history of South American countries, and is an advocate of travel and studying abroad.
