Introduction

Charlene is a passionate advocate for underserved communities and uses her graduate research to focus on the root causes of various social issues to create impactful calls to action.

Her position as a Graduate Studies Senator is no exception. She works to promote student success by identifying barriers and working to overcome them through collaborations with several departments within the PNW family as well as community leaders. Many times, issues don’t get addressed because the people who can do something about it don’t know it’s an issue.

Charlene hopes to give a voice to those who are not often heard but whose perspectives have the power to enact positive change.
