In the Office of Hispanic Initiatives, we are dedicated to enhancing the academic and personal success of our Latino students at this Hispanic-Serving Institution. Discover how our services can help you achieve your university goals and beyond.

Somos PNW! The Office of Hispanic Initiatives is dedicated to enhancing the academic and personal success of Latino students at PNW.

We promote PNW students to network within their fields of study, such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at their annual Regional Leadership Development Conferences!

PNW hosts several pre-commencement celebrations for upcoming graduates. At our Latino Graduation Celebration, students received honorary stoles to wear at Commencement.

Students at PNW are able to enjoy a vivid student life. Our Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority chapter is dedicated to promote positive change with a focus in underserved communities.

Student Resources

Student Academic Support

All PNW students have access to free academic support services, including tutoring and supplemental instruction.

Writing Center

Students, faculty and staff at PNW have free access to the Writing Center and can receive support for any writing task from trained peer tutors.

Counseling Center

At PNW, we care about your physical and mental health. Our Counseling Center provides free and confidential mental services to currently enrolled students.

Accessibility Center

Our PNW Accessibility Center empowers college-ready students with documented disabilities to ensure they Power Onward through equal access and opportunity.

TRIO & Educational Opportunity Programs

We motivate and support students from diverse backgrounds, including low-income, first-generation and disabled individuals, from sixth grade to college gradation.

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers changes lives by empowering the knowledge, access, support and STEM development. Hispanic community to reach its full potential and make an impact on the world through.

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club at PNW is dedicated to preserving and enriching Latin American culture and the Spanish language through our activities.

Unidos

Unidos is dedicated to enhancing student life on campus by introducing the student body to the culture, tradition and beliefs of multiple Spanish-speaking countries.

Alpha Psi Lambda

Alpha Psi Lambda serves our university community while promoting Latino culture. The concept of family is very important to us to create a support network for our members and provide a real-life experience for working with all genders.

Sigma Lambda Gamma

Sigma Lambda Gamma is a Women’s Sorority that provides life opportunities to empower its members and be a positive influence in the global community.
