Strategic Plan: Mission, Vision and Ongoing Progress
On behalf of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, we thank you again for your participation in the All-Inclusive Strategy Days on September 24 and 25 and for providing additional feedback at the three Open Forums held during the week of October 14 to 18.
After considering all of the university-wide conversations and subsequent feedback, we now have the final versions of the PNW Mission and Vision.
Mission
Purdue University Northwest is a diverse, student-centered university that transforms lives and serves our region through innovative education, impactful research and community engagement.
Vision
To cultivate leaders, inspire excellence and impact our world.
Ongoing Work
Six teams (a Values Team and five Goals Team) are now commissioned and continue to work on developing the complete plan using the input and data gathered during the September 24 and 25 Strategy Days.
The purpose of the PNW Values Team is to develop our values and then identify the “expected behaviors” for each value.
As these are being developed we will seek feedback from the university community.
The purpose of the five Goals Teams is to develop objectives, strategic activities, and metrics for each assigned goal:
- Strengthen Community and Global Partnerships
- Foster Academic Excellence
- Enhance Quality of Place
- Advance Student Success
- Cultivate Innovation and Transformative Research
Rosters listing the membership of all the teams and the workbooks outlining activities and timelines can be seen on the Strategic Planning Sharepoint Drive (login required).
Stay tuned! We will provide additional updates as the process continues. Please reach out to either of us or any member of the six working teams if you have questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Becky Stankowski, Co-Chair
Yu Ouyang, Co-Chair
