Recent Resolved Issues (30 Days)
Networking will be adjusting the Hammond campus routers to prepare for additional backup connections. There will be a 15-minute network outage while they restart the network throughout the campus. Westville will not be affected.

Networking will be performing critical updates to appliances hosting the Purdue VPN networks. For about 1 hour during the below maintenance window, webvpn.purdue.edu and other Purdue VPN networks will be offline. Minimal impact expected to PNW networks and VPNs.

Networking restarted the network switch in the Anderson building 2nd floor to resolve network issues reported in that area. All wired & wireless networks on that floor were unavailable during the 10-15 minute restart.

Technicians found an issue on the Device Registration page, mydevices.pnw.edu, used to register devices for the Calnet Media WiFi network (primarily used in the dorms). Users were unable to register devices on this website.
In the meantime, any devices that are unable to connect to Eduroam (i.e. smart TVs, Roku/Amazon sticks, some game consoles) would have needed to be manually registered by our technicians. Users needed to send an email to the CSC (csc@pnw.edu) with the following information if they needed a device registered:
- Your name and PNW username (if not sending from your PNW email address)
- Location (building & room #)
- Type of Device
- Type of connection (Wired/Ethernet or Wireless/WiFi)
- MAC address (make sure it matches the connection type)
- Your phone number

The Banner production database will be unavailable as administrators work to increase the CPU.

How can I get IT Notice updates?
Emergency IT Notices are sent to e-mail distribution lists containing users that are affected:
- #PNW_All_Faculty_and_Staff
- #PNW_All_Students
Non-Emergency IT Notices, and Scheduled Maintenance notifications are sent to the e-mail distribution list:
- #PNW_ITNotice
