IT Status

Networking will be updating the DNS resolution for devices in the following locations during the below maintenance window. No expected impact to users.

• GABIS
• SBDC
• PNW VPN (webvpn.pnw.edu, zonevpn.pnw.edu)
• ISE Servers

Networking will be making changes to VoIP network routes advertised from the PNW campus to the PSC datacenter in order to resolve overlaps with PFW networks.

No impact is expected from this change.

Networking will be  doing maintenance to NAT policies for wireless controller devices in Westville. Wireless service (eduroam, PNW-Media, attwifi) may be intermittent or unavailable while changes are being made.

No impact is expected for wired connections.

Hammond campus will be unaffected.

Networking will be  doing maintenance with the  link between the Hammond and Westville campuses.

The active link requires downtime to be reconfigured by the circuit provider.

Users saw a licensing issue when using Adobe products, indicating that the license was expired but that it would still be available for a few days. Technicians have worked with Adobe to renew the license; they were expecting that it would be renewed before end of day 6/24.

We are experiencing some issues with the recent Shibboleth upgrade over the weekend. The admins are working to resolve the issue regarding access to Banner Navigator. As a work-around until the issue is fixed, please open a private (incognito) window in Chrome and go here:

Networking will be migrating  the DNS authority for all of our external forward zones to a new BlueCat server.

Networking will be updating the security certificates for connecting to the Eduroam network on both Hammond and Westville campuses, due to the current certificates expiring soon. Some devices may require users to trust the new certificates, forget/reconnect to the network, or use the SecureW2 tool found on the PNW WiFi page (pnw.edu/wifi) after this update.
