Current IT Alerts

The Pride ID (mobile student ID) is displaying an incorrect PUID and barcode. There should be two zeros in front of the ID number, and those zeros have been removed. Administrators are aware of the issue and are investigating. Scanning the barcode will not function properly until this issue is resolved. As a workaround, the PUID number can be manually entered into checkin systems across campus (including at dining services, FNRC, Libraries, etc.) including the two leading zeros.

Due to production Linux patching, the following PNW applications will be unavailable during this server maintenance:

• Cognos
• MyPNW Portal
• Degree Works
• Unitime

Networking will make a variety of non-impactful routing updates to PNW in preparation for migrating PNW DHCP to BlueCat.

Recent Resolved Issues (30 Days)

Staff are investigating an ongoing reported network service outage for the following locations. Fitness and Recreation Center (FNRC) Challenger Learning Center (CLC) Counseling Center (RILEY) White Lodging Center for Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM).

Our Techs will be updating the  Oracle Data Integration production, this will affect the PNW Oracle database / data warehouse (data source) and all PNW IBM Cognos Analytics reports, PNW IBM CA scheduled jobs, and outbound reporting going to university staff, faculty, and administration during the weekend.

Hourly staff are currently unable to use Webclock to manage their time. The page appears to not be loading correctly, showing a blank white page which attempts to reload itself. Technicians are aware of the issue and investigating.

Networking will be replacing a firewall in the PNW PSC datacenter. During the change, many PNW services may be occasionally unreachable. Wired and wireless Internet access for the Hammond campus may also be impacted during the outage.

Update 3/12/2024 – 8:21pm: The previous notification for this maintenance indicated an ending time of 8pm. The repair is taking longer than anticipated and the estimated completion time has been extended.

Update 3/13/2024 – 9:10am: The hardware installation was successful, but further configuration is needed to restore full connectivity. There will be additional maintenance, including an additional outage potential, on the evening of 3/14/2024. The times below have been updated.

Emergency IT Notices are sent to e-mail distribution lists containing users that are affected:

  • #PNW_All_Faculty_and_Staff
  • #PNW_All_Students

Non-Emergency IT Notices, and Scheduled Maintenance notifications are sent to the e-mail distribution list:

  • #PNW_ITNotice
