Recent Project Highlights: Enterprise Applications
August 12, 2022
Here are a few recent projects performed by Enterprise Applications (EA) and how each contributes to student access and success at PNW.
Current Projects
- CampusM Banner Integration: Allows students to view holds, registration status, grades, and class schedule in the PNW mobile app.
- Enhance Use of Preferred Name: As an ongoing priority, whenever the opportunity arises, and there is no legal requirement, we use the preferred name if it exists in place of the student’s first name.
- Grade Push: Instructors can now send their grades directly from Brightspace into MyPNW without needing to enter them separately.
- High School eTranscript: We can load high school transcripts automatically whenever electronic transcript data is provided by the high schools.
- IS Scavenger Hunt 2022: Information Services is sponsoring the 2022 Scavenger Hunt for PNW new students, which will begin the first day of classes on August 23, 2022, and conclude on September 9, 2022. Every clue submitted in the scavenger hunt is one entry into the drawing for a prize.
- PNW-Ocelot Chatbot Banner Integration Program: Banner integration allows Leo to deliver personalized answers when available. For example, if a student asks, “Why is there a hold on my account?” or “How much financial aid did I receive?” Leo will deliver the standard answer about those topics, but personalized answers are available if the student signs in with BoilerKey SSO. Once the student agrees to authenticate, the personalized answer will be delivered, and other personalized answers will be automatically delivered until the student closes their browser. Ocelot chatbot is currently displayed on the main websites for Admissions, CSC, Financial Aid, and IS to answer common questions from students automatically. Try it now!
