Ready to Show How We RISE

Dear Colleagues,
Your earnest participation and valuable input over these past several months have significantly shaped Purdue University Northwest’s (PNW) 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, “Excellence Evolving.”
From our students, faculty and staff to our alumni and community partners, I am proud of your commitment to ensuring our university is responsive to the future needs of our students and the communities we serve.
The Strategic Planning Steering Committee on Jan. 30 shared four central values that were informed by the PNW community’s collaboration in developing our high-level mission and vision. These values, Respect, Innovation, Student-Centric and Excellence (RISE), support our strategic plan goals and objectives. They demonstrate that students are at the heart of everything we do at PNW, while we hold ourselves to aspirational goals that will transform our institution, Northwest Indiana and beyond.
I look forward to working together with you on the implementation of our strategic plan, which is expected to be published by the end of the spring 2025 semester. We are on an exciting path forward where our institution will continue to grow in its service and influence in our region. Take pride in the direction we are collectively heading, for it represents the qualities we hold important for continuing to move PNW forward.
Sincerely,
Kenneth C. Holford, Ph.D.
Chancellor
