The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will start several construction and restoration projects this spring on state-maintained roads, one of which will likely affect commuters to our Hammond campus.

INDOT is scheduled to begin concrete pavement restoration on Interstate 80/94 in mid- or late April. The roadwork will treat an approximately five-mile stretch from the Indiana-Illinois state line to Cline Avenue. Four lanes in each direction are expected to be open during the daytime, with some nighttime lane closures.

During this time, we recommend allowing yourself extra travel time in case of delays and backups. Please exercise caution while driving through construction zones and watch for reduced speed limits and shifting lanes. Also consider taking alternate routes.
