Purdue University Northwest (PNW) students, faculty and staff joined Northwest Indiana families for the festivities at the 45th annual Popcorn Festival in Valparaiso, Indiana on Sept. 7.
PNW served as the platinum sponsor for both the festival and the parade. Campus community members staffed informational booths to share resources and build relationships with local families. Members also diligently assembled a popcorn-themed and decorated float for inclusion in the parade, which ultimately earned the grand prize.
PNW is dedicated to empowering transformational change for its neighboring communities, including through active community engagements outside of its campuses.
