Speros Angelos Batistatos, MBA, FCDME
Visiting Instructor
Introduction
As a Visiting Instructor in the COB, my focus: orienting students to possibilities that exist for their careers & helping students navigate the complex issues surrounding management of enterprises.
Research Overview
My research has focused on destination life cycles and by analyzing data from H/M tax collections, hotel room counts (growth/decline), visitor numbers, job creation, H/M average daily rates, occupancy rates and revenue per available room to determine the respective destination’s position in the life cycle. Once determined, specific policies for growth can be recommended.
I started my MBA and became a father for the first time at 58 years old!
Teaching Focus
I will bring my 34 years as CEO of two different Destination Marketing Organizations and experience in a broad range of operational areas (marketing, PR, HR, Destination event mgmt, media, public speaking) to our students. I hope to clarify areas of business that will help them find their path to the C-Suite. They will learn the meaning of “maximize shareholder value” and how to do exactly that.
