Teaching Focus
I am focused on creating a supportive learning environment for students to learn the language of accounting. While I am currently focused on teaching introductory courses in financial and managerial accounting as well as cost accounting, I have also taught courses on advanced managerial accounting techniques and managerial control.
Previous Roles
My previous academic posting was at Cornell University’s College of Business where I was an assistant professor of accounting at the Nolan School of Hotel Administration. Prior to becoming a professor, I worked with GE Money Bank as a loan analyst as well as in financial and treasury positions with various nonprofit organizations.
Fun Fact
My undergraduate degree is in music where I studied vocal performance and music history. I’ve done quite a bit of singing with various groups on the East Coast. When I lived in Philadelphia, I sang a season with the Mendelssohn Club and got to sing with the Philadelphia Orchestra during their Holiday Pops concerts.
