Professional Interests/Specializations

Internal and Family Medicine, Urgent Care, and clinical administration

Before CHL

Before joining the Center for Healthy Living at Purdue University Northwest in October 2022, I graduated from a medical assistant program at Everest College in 2005. I had my share of different duties. I started at a private urologist practice as a receptionist and a surgical assistant. After a year, I accepted a position at St. Mary Medical Center as an emergency department technician.

Shortly after gaining more experience, I worked for Hammond Clinic/Franciscan Physicians Network for 12 years. For seven of those years, I worked as a medical assistant, and for the last five years, I worked as a clinical informatics technician. Working in informatics made me miss patient care and I wanted to work once again with people.

During this time, I started another journey of going back to school at Purdue University and majored in Health Care Administration. I am hoping to continue my education and earn my master’s degree in Health Care.

Philosophy of Care

I believe that every patient that walks through the doors should get the same treatment that I would want my loved ones to receive. Although each patient is unique in their way, care and compassion will be given equally. I will always make sure that every patient receives the quality care they deserve.

What Do You Like to Do When You’re Not at the CHL?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am also a dog mom and love taking them for walks, going to the parks and getting pup cups. I love being outdoors and going to concerts and festivals where live music of any kind is playing. I also am a freelance writer when I have the time.

My kids are all grown up, but I cherish my time with my grandson. I also love sports, and both my husband and I are season ticket members with the Indianapolis Colts.

Fun Fact

I used to be a trained vocalist/singer.
