Introduction

Joseph T. Cochran is a Visiting Instructor of History. He teaches survey courses in Global and American history.

Research Overview

Cochran’s monograph, Jonathan Edwards and Hebrews, is an intellectual history of how the early American pastor and philosopher, Jonathan Edwards, interpreted and applied the Epistle to the Hebrews to his ministerial context and for his wider global influence. Cochran is currently writing a brand history of evangelicals, which conveys the story of their social, cultural, and political influence from mid-nineteenth century to today.
