Introduction

Jin Lu is professor of French and specializes in French Enlightenment including Catholic Enlightenment, intellectual history, global religious studies and translingual practice.

Research Overview

Jin Lu’s main areas of research are located at the intersection of language, literature and culture with historical and global perspectives.  Her publications have focused on cultural journals in eighteenth-century France, Jesuits in France and China, cross-cultural practice and translingual Chinese Catholic intellectuals situated in the intersecting global Catholic networks of their time.

Music is another language I enjoy, and I sing with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus.
