Jen worked at PNW in various positions from the 1980s until the early 2000s, and worked at Valparaiso University for fourteen years as the Director of Instructional Design. In 2023, she returned to PNW as an Access Coordinator and Academic Coach in the PNW Accessibility Center.

Philosophy of Care

I believe you can learn more about a person through active listening rather than simply hearing what they say. Listening requires more effort but leads to better understanding. Through an open mind and a client-experiences-centered approach to listening, I can ensure that your goals are the priority.

I also believe that health coaching is about empathy, encouragement and education. II want people to feel their health coach is a supportive partner in their health journey.

What Do You Like to Do When You’re Not at the CHL?

I enjoy spending time with my husband (Tony), my kids and my grandkids. I like exercising, reading and catching up on true-crime shows as well.

Fun Fact
