Introduction
Iris E. Sanchez in PNW’s Director of Hispanic-Serving Institution Initiatives. Born in the United States to Mexican parents, she was in the first in her family to go to college. She has dedicated her life to the Latino community and is very happy to be part of PNW and support Latino students.

- MPA – School of Public & Environmental Affairs – Public Administration, Indiana University Northwest
- Certificate in Nonprofit Management, Indiana University Northwest
Professional interests
Enrich the student experience and educational advancement of Latinx students. Promote enrollment and student success. Serve as an advocate and servant leader for Latinx students.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am a big Sci-Fi nerd! I was in 4-H growing up. I am on level 34 of Pokemon Go. Growing up, I wanted to be a paleontologist or an anthropologist.
What do you love about PNW?
I love how student-friendly the campus is. I love the diversity on campus and how everyone is made to feel included.
