Introduction

Amir MajidiRad joined Purdue University Northwest in Spring 2025 as an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Prior to this, he was a faculty member at the University of North Florida, where he successfully secured both internal and external grants.

He brings a wealth of teaching experience in the areas of Manufacturing, Solid Mechanics and Controls. He has also served on numerous committees at the department, college and university levels. In addition to his academic work, he collaborates on research with the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, furthering advancements in the field of human-robot interaction.

Research Overview

His research primarily focuses on quantifying human-robot interaction in physiotherapeutic and industrial applications through data-driven interventions, with support from organizations such as NASA and the Mayo Clinic.

Professor MajidiRad has taught a wide range of courses including but not limited to Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Mechanics of Materials, Integrated Design and Manufacturing, Dynamics, Modeling and Analysis of Dynamic Systems and Robotics Engineering.
