New director for McNair Achievement program
Dear PNW Community,
Along with Ronnell DuBose, I am delighted to announce the appointment of La Tonia Winston, Ph.D. as Director of the PNW Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program. The McNair program is a federal grant designed to support students from underrepresented populations who intend to pursue postgraduate study.
Through McNair, eligible students can receive substantial financial support for graduate school applications, conference travel, research materials, and other research-related activities. McNair also provides significant stipends for faculty who mentor eligible students in research activities, as well as funding for conference travel.
The McNair program is currently accepting applications for participating students and faculty! If you are a student who might be interested in graduate school, or a faculty member interested in mentoring students, please contact La Tonia Winston.
