For your awareness, Purdue IT will transition from Google to Microsoft 365 through a tenant migration during spring 2026, with the goal of improving user experience and service integration.

This change will allow easier file sharing and communication among Purdue University, Purdue Fort Wayne and Purdue Northwest users using the Microsoft 365 suite. In addition, Purdue Northwest students will enjoy more seamless access to Microsoft 365 software.

No action is required at this time. However, there are a few steps you may want to take this summer to streamline the transition before the 2025-26 academic year. For example, you can review documents and files stored in your PNW Google Drive and delete any items that you no longer need or don’t wish to transfer. (Note: If you do not use Google Drive to store your data, or other Google apps, you can disregard.)

We will communicate frequently during this process with project updates and tips for moving files.

In the meantime, questions can be emailed to csc@pnw.edu.
