Katie Stompor named Executive Director, Digital Media and Brand Management

Dear Colleagues:

We are pleased to announce that Katie Stompor has been promoted to Executive Director, Digital Media and Brand Management in the Office of Marketing and Communications. In this expanded role, Katie is responsible for leadership in multimedia and social media strategies and brand management as an essential part of the university’s integrated marketing and communications initiatives.

She serves as the primary brand manager for the university, including licensing, brand positioning within marketing campaigns, and coordination of adherence to the brand identity, voice and messaging throughout PNW. In addition, Katie oversees creative design, social media, photography and video for the university, including leading a team of creative professionals within Marketing and Communications.

Katie has been instrumental to the growth of PNW’s digital marketing campaigns, brand visibility and positioning, licensing program, and multimedia creative development. Her team’s creative designs including recent Viewbooks and the Power Onward ad campaigns have earned numerous national awards.

Prior to joining the university in 2015, Katie served as a creative director and multimedia designer for a range of companies and corporate clients. She holds a bachelor of fine arts from the Illinois Institute of Art, earned her master’s degree in Communications at PNW, and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Higher Education at Northern Illinois University.
