2024 Flu Shot Information
Seasonal flu shots are provided at no charge to all benefits-eligible Purdue faculty and staff, as well as spouses and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan, through a variety of means.
Regardless of location, individuals coming for a flu shot should bring their Purdue University ID (PUID) card.
On-Campus Flu Shots
Flu shots will be offered:
7:30 to 11 a.m. CT by appointment only. Paired with lab draws and biometrics.
If lab work is being done, employee must bring their lab orders with them to their appointment.

Vaccine Types
The CHL at PNW will be administering the following vaccines at both Hammond and Westville:
- Fluzone quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for anyone ages 6 months and older.
- Flublok quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for use in ages 18 years and older. It is preservative and egg-free.
If an alternative vaccine type is needed, employees are encouraged to see their providers.
Additional Flu Shot Options
If employees are unable to make it to the CHL or a flu shot event on campus, there are other options:
- Retail pharmacies
Check with your retail pharmacy for flu shot availability. All Purdue medical plans cover the seasonal flu vaccine for employees and covered dependents. - Health care provider
In most cases, primary care providers can administer flu shots. All Purdue medical plans cover the seasonal flu vaccine for employees and covered dependents.
