Graduate Profile: Kristen Johnson

Kristen Johnson of Plainfield, IL is a recent graduate of the College of Engineering and Sciences. She majored in electrical engineering with a minor in applied mathematics.

“PNW helped me “Power Onward” by not only providing me a strong academic base upon which I can continue to build my engineering skills but also many opportunities to enrich my college experience and resume with extracurricular activities,” said Johnson.

Her career goal is to become a consultant for local engineering firms.

Johnson added, “Student organizations, like the Society of Women Engineers and PNW Formula SAE, offered me the opportunity to attend conferences and competitions where I was able to make connections with several employers. I was also able to secure several internship and job offers through these conferences as well as job fairs hosted by the PNW Career Center.”
