Plan your visit to the Purdue University Northwest Gabis Arboretum! Find details about admission, Gabis hours and directions, group and field-trip visits and virtual experiences.
The arboretum is open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset CST.
The model trains at the Railway Garden run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from May through October, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Daily admission for non-members is $10 per carload. Additional fees apply for access to the Railway Garden when trains are running.
Special pricing exists for PNW students, minibuses, tour buses and others.
PLEASE NOTE: Gate payment is credit card only.

Located between Valparaiso and Merrillville, Indiana, Gabis Arboretum is open daily.
Automated Gate Kiosk
Gabis Arboretum uses an automated gate to manage entrances. Non-members pay the $10 carload admission fee via credit card, and members scan their membership card.

Accessibility
Due to varied surfaces and elevations throughout the arboretum, touring the entire 300 acres may be difficulty for some visitors. They Meyer Pavilion and Railway Garden are accessible to wheelchairs and strollers via paved routes.
