Funding Opportunity for Faculty and Staff Gatherings

Dear Faculty and Staff,

We are pleased to announce the continuation of a funding opportunity to support gatherings that foster camaraderie, recognize achievements and celebrate the outstanding work of our faculty and staff. Last year’s initiative was a tremendous success, with over 800 of you participating in events such as recognition ceremonies, holiday celebrations, and picnics.

To show our appreciation for your dedication and accomplishments, the Senior Leadership Team is once again allocating funds for these gatherings. For the 2024-25 fiscal year, departments, units, or divisions can access up to $25 per person for one event per year. These funds can be used for meals and refreshments (excluding alcohol) but may not be spent on giveaways or gear.

Request Process:

• Department leaders should send a request to their Vice Chancellor, including the number of attendees and the total funds requested.
• Upon approval, the Vice Chancellor will notify the Business Office to authorize the transfer of funds.
• Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until depleted.
