Resolution to provide clarity on office hours

Whereas: Memorandum AA-6 from the Office of Academic Affairs provides a policy on faculty office hours.

Whereas: AA-6 stops short of offering specific guidance of how many weekly office hours faculty should, and college deans have mandated their faculty have various numbers of office hours across their colleges.

Be it resolved: Office hours should be 4 hours a week and by appointment for full-time faculty and proportionately reduced for part-time faculty and instructors unless there is an overarching reason decided by the faculty in that program/department or by guidelines of accrediting bodies.
