Resolution on Unconditional International Undergraduate Admissions Standards for Purdue University Northwest

WHEREAS, Purdue University Northwest Unconditional International Undergraduate Admissions Standards are Completion of the Indiana Core 40 Curriculum or Equivalent Diploma and;
WHEREAS, The domestic Indiana Core 40 Curriculum admission policy is completion of the Indiana Core 40 Curriculum or Equivalent Diploma with an implied, but not explicit, minimum of a 2.0/4.0 and;
WHEREAS, The Unconditional International Undergraduate Admissions Standards international policy is explicit about requiring a 2.5/4.0;
THREFORE, In order to ensure equal consideration of both foreign and domestic applications for admission, and following the advice of the Director of Global Engagement (Dr. George Kacenga), the Education Policy Committee has voted to recommend that the minimum grade point average requirement for both foreign and domestic applicants to be 2.0/4.0.
BE IT RESOLVED that the PNW Senate support the 2.0 /4.0 Indiana Core 40 Curriculum or Equivalent diploma as a standard for both domestic and Unconditional International Undergraduate Admissions Standards.
