Whereas:Utilization of facilities at the Westville campus has been a topic of discussion among faculty, staff, and administration, and
Whereas: Program completion in several academic areas has also been the topic of discussion, and
Whereas: Faculty, Staff, and Administrators have largely relied on anecdotal information to fuel their respective discussion points, and
Whereas: It would be in the best interest of the University to engage in rigorous data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, to facilitate efficient decision making by academic units and the leadership of PNW regarding facility usage and programs on the Westville campus venue.
Be it resolved: The Purdue University Northwest Faculty Senate supports the creation of a committee among faculty members, students, and relevant support staff to gather and analyze such data, and present their findings to the full Senate and to Senior Leadership. The purpose of this effort will be to discover ways to more efficiently utilize the facilities, faculty, and staff of the Westville venue to improve student recruitment, retention, and the best education we can provide for our students.
