Whereas, the Purdue University Northwest (PNW) Faculty Senate is responsible for curricular issues effecting PNW students; and

Whereas, the PNW Faculty Senate engages in other business important to the operations of the University; and

Whereas, some colleges and departments have scheduled meetings and other activities for their faculty representatives to the Faculty Senate that conflict with the established dates and times for Senate meetings; and

Whereas, scheduling conflicts may prevent members of the Faculty Senate from adequately meeting their various obligations and may even result in the lack of a quorum for the conducting of Senate business, therefore, be it

Resolved, that the Faculty Senate requests that the Provost instruct the deans, school directors, department chairs, and other academic administrators to refrain from scheduling any faculty meetings, or other activities that conflict with the dates and times of the scheduled meetings of the Faculty Senate.
