Individual problems in representational and non-representational painting with emphasis upon the development of an individual point of view.
Prerequisite: AD 31000 Painting I or consent of instructor.

- Demonstrate competent use of painting tools and materials
- Execute more advanced techniques and processes of paint application
- Demonstrate ability to construct an archival conscious painting support
- Build on rendering skills through emphasis on working from direct observation and demonstrate abstract perceptual abilities
- Demonstrate a beginning execution of color theory through projects and color terminology in written or oral form
- Demonstrate formal design concepts and use the principles and elements of design
