Proposed Minor:

WGSS 38000 – Gender and Multiculturalism Class 3, Credit 3 Gender & Multiculturalism is an interdisciplinary course that focuses on cross-cultural and global experiences and perspectives in the study of gender and the status of women. The course considers how gender, “race,” class, nationality, sexuality, disability, and other identity categories shape human experience, and the course examines how cultural beliefs concerning gender roles shape the experience of oppression and privilege. In addition, the course explores how individuals and communities resist oppression and realize social justice.

Prereq: WGSS 28000 or consent of instructor.
