Literature in the Garden: Junior Master Gardener Program

Bring your children (ages 8-10) to Gabis Arboretum for a reading in the garden with an educational craft afterwards. The class will be taught by Porter County Master Gardeners, Laura Tucker, Linda Mapes and Carolyn Dye.

The Roundtable Perspective: Understanding Art Therapy

Leah R. Gipson, LCPC, ATR-BC, Assistant Professor of Art Therapy and Counseling at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago joins host Thomas J. Roach, Ph.D. to discuss the practice of using art as a means of therapy and how art therapy can be used as a way to advocate for social justice.

Plant Drawing Workshop

Join nature artist, Melissa Washburn, to learn how to identify certain plants in the arboretum during a guided hike and then learn how to draw them.
