“Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”

Join in raising awareness concerning sexual violence against women by participating in the impactful journey of “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.”
The initiative serves as a “space of playful confrontation and openness” by asking participants to wear heeled shoes and “actively confront gender stereotypes and expectations.”
By joining this meaningful activity, you contribute to a collective effort aimed at fostering understanding, empathy and active engagement in the ongoing struggle for women’s safety and well-being. Together, grab a pair of heels and help take steps toward a brighter and safer future for all.
To help take an active step in support of survivors of sexual violence, event participants are additionally encouraged to register for the annual PNW Honors College 5K. This year, the Honors College 5K’s philanthropy beneficiary is Fair Haven Rape Crisis Center of Northwest Indiana, which provides services and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence. 5K registration fees will directly benefit the center.
