The Roundtable Perspective: Women in Jamaican Music

Heather Augustyn, English lecturer and music historian at Purdue University Northwest joins host Thomas J. Roach, Ph.D. on Lakeshore PBS to discuss how women in Jamaica overcame adversity to become accomplished musicians that helped inspire many traditions including “Ska” music.
New episodes air Friday at 8:30 p.m. and replay Sunday at 10 a.m. each week.
