The Roundtable Perspective: South African Anti-Apartheid Theatre

Gibson Cima, Ph.D., assistant professor of theatre history from Northern Illinois University School of Theatre and Dance joins host Thomas J. Roach, Ph.D. on Lakeshore PBS to discuss the history of anti-apartheid theatre in South Africa and compares the “imagined futures” presented in the plays compared to what has become reality in a post-apartheid world.

New episodes air Friday at 8:30 p.m. and replay Sunday at 10 a.m. each week.
