The Roundtable Perspective: Hip Hop Music of Resistance

Lisa Calvente, assistant professor of Communication joins host Thomas J. Roach on Lakeshore PBS to discuss her studies of hip hop music culture. Calvente grew up in New York during the rise of hip hop and has studied it both academically and in her personal life.
New episodes air Friday at 8:30 p.m. and replay Sunday at 10 a.m. each week.
