Taking the Same Road Twice (or Thrice): Ecological Insights for Repeat Visits to Nature Preserves

November 16 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Gabis Arboretum is excited to host a presentation about the knowledge that can be gained from repeated visits to nature preserves.

Our guest speaker, Professor Spencer Cortwright from Indiana University Northwest, teaches ecology, zoology, restoration ecology as well as other courses

This presentation notes many reasons to revisit nature preserves (exercise, spiritual uplift, camaraderie, restoration work, etc.) and emphasizes one in particular: detecting ecological processes at work. We will virtually walk through select preserves and identify important ecological insights that can be learned from repeat visits!

The class will meet at the Depot.

Program participation is free. Arboretum admission fees apply for non-members.
