November 19 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join the Cultural Heritage Celebration Committee in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with Scott Sixkiller Sinquah. Scott represents the Gila River Pima, Hopi/Tewa, Cherokee & Choctaw Nations.
Scott was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, and has been dancing since the age of two. Not only is Scott a Fancy Dancer, but he is also a two-time World Champion Hoop Dancer, winning the titles in 2020 and 2023.
By age 30, Scott has traveled throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, where he has had the honor to share his culture, dances and songs at music festivals, powwows, educational associations, museums and art festivals.
While Scott enjoys traveling, performing and sharing his dance and culture, his main message to the world is that Indigenous music, dance and culture is alive, vibrant and strong!
