Intramural Baking Contest- Hartsfield Village
February 22
This year’s contest we are focusing on memories. Of the six senses, the sense of smell is the one most connected to memories. The scent from fresh baked goods takes your mind on a journey back to your childhood and reconnects you with those memories and the loved ones in your life.
PNW Intramurals and Hartsfield Village (an assisted living/nursing home in Munster) are teaming up to unlock a special memory for one of the residents. Each resident will submit a favorite recipe that reminds them of a time they baked either with their children or maybe it was with one of their parents or grandparents.
This event is open to all PNW Students, Faculty & Staff
The person whose recipe is drawn will get to bake this dessert (assisted by the winner of the intramural contest and head chef at Hartsfield) for the residents of Hartsfield. The winning intramural recipe, along with the recipe being baked at Hartsfield, will appear in Food Critic Phil Potempa’s weekly column in the Post Tribune and the online edition of the Chicago Tribune.
