Hunger Action Day

September 10

PNW’s Food Pantries need your support.

We know many of you are already gearing up for the Chancellor’s Cup Challenge next semester, but we hope you’ll consider doing two things on Hunger Action Day:

1. Donate whatever you can in whatever way you can to the food pantries at each campus.

To donate actual items (any shelf stable item is welcome…we’re low on everything), please drop them off at one of two locations between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Hammond – The Mane Zone in CLO
  • Westville – The Student Life Office in DSAC 1021

To make a monetary donation, visit the Food Pantry’s giving page.

2. Wear Orange. Show students how much you care about them and support them in their efforts to succeed in college.

About the PNW Food Pantries

Did You Know That

  • The PNW Food Pantries are experiencing a shortage of both Food and Feminine Hygiene Products?
  • PNW students can take up to 15 items from the food pantry each month to help support them?

Can You Imagine What It Would Be Like

  • If you could only get 15 items from the store each month for you and your family?

College is hard enough, don’t let hunger make it harder. We appreciate your support for the PNW food pantry.

To request a disability-related accommodation, please contact the Office of Institutional Equity at oie@pnw.edu or (219) 989-2163 five days prior to the event.
