Horror Film Screening & Discussion Series: The Exorcist (1973)

FreeOn behalf of the Department of English and World Languages, Justin J. J. Ness, Ph.D., whose award-winning dissertation (2019) elaborated on the narrative mechanics of horror, romance and detective fictions, will host the first event of a new educational series, which is free and open to all.
This first event will begin with a brief presentation on the background and reception of the 1973 film, The Exorcist, (written by William Peter Blatty, directed by William Friedkin), whereafter the original, theatrical version of the film will be screened in full and without interruption. Following the screening, Dr. Ness will facilitate discussion about the film.
The event will be held in Powers Building 130 on the Hammond Campus.
