Behind-the-Scenes Tours of the Railway Garden
- 11 a.m. AND 1 p.m.
Treat your dad to this unique experience by getting a look behind the scenes of the arboretum’s award-winning model railroad garden. Get an inside peek into the elaborate control room and see how the exhibit is maintained. Suitable for kids and adults. Tours last approximately one hour. Registration is required.
Program Fee
$5 per person. Arboretum admission fees apply for non-members.

Open Fishing
- 8 a.m. to noon
Bring your own gear for catch and release fishing at the North Pond at Gabis Arboretum. Participation is free. This pond was stocked years ago with bluegill, perch and bass. Don’t expect to catch a big one; these are just tiny panfish and fun for the kids.
