Fall Innovation Series Session 4: Design Thinking Deep Dive Part I

The Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest presents a new professional development program for innovators.
This series of virtual workshops is for both entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. Whether you are growing your own company or you have been tasked to innovate within an existing organization, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills are essential for every stage of business.
People who attend all six sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion and innovation resource guide covering each topic from the series.
Each 60-minute session will be led by the Society of Innovators team and is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CST.

Design Thinking Deep Dive Part I
Some of the world’s leading brands, such as Apple, Google, Samsung and GE, have rapidly adopted the Design Thinking approach and Design Thinking is being taught at leading universities around the world, including d.school, Stanford, Harvard and MIT. But do you know what Design Thinking is? And why it’s so popular?
In this session, you will learn more about what Design Thinking really is, the history of the popular methodology and how to get started with the Design Thinking process.
Participants will have the opportunity to frame real-world challenges where Design Thinking can be applied.
