In honor of the 40th Chicago Latino Film Festival, we’re hosting our viewing of Itzia, Tango & Cacao (2023) directed and starred by Flora Martinez in her directorial debut. Enjoy the film and even get to meet the director herself!

About the Film
Itzia, Tango & Cacao (2023), deaf from birth, rediscovers her father’s tango music while working on a cocoa farm. Despite doubters, she embarks on a heartfelt journey to reclaim her musical heritage in this stirring drama directed by Flora Martínez. This is a Colombian film Presented in Spanish with English subtitles, the film spans 88 minutes of emotional resonance and cultural exploration.
