Umile (Tony) Belmonte

Introduction

Umile (Tony) Belmonte graduated with an M.A. in TESOL from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS). Before joining the English Language Program at Purdue University Northwest, he taught EFL as a lecturer at the Shandong University of Science and Technology (SUST) in Jinan, China.

In addition to language education, Tony has a multidisciplinary background in business with degrees in finance and spent time working at a merchant bank in Milan, Italy. He enjoys learning languages and, as a teacher of language, is fascinated by the process of second language acquisition. He also speaks Italian, Spanish and a bit of French.
