Duneland Health Council boosts PNW Day of Giving
$30,000 gift supports College of Nursing scholarships
The Duneland Health Council joined the Purdue University Northwest (PNW) Day of Giving festivities through a $30,000 donation to fund scholarships for students in the College of Nursing.
“Duneland Health Council is proud to support the students in Purdue Northwest’s high-quality nursing program,” Duneland Health Council Executive Director Camie White said. “It is our honor to contribute to the education of the Purdue Northwest students in La Porte County who are focused on, and dedicated to, improving the health of our communities.”
PNW’s College of Nursing Dean Lisa Hopp said the gift provides much-needed assistance for students working to complete their nursing degrees.
“We are extremely grateful for the leadership of the Duneland Health Council and their commitment to higher education and our institution,” said Hopp. “We further appreciate Duneland’s longtime support for Purdue Northwest, which spans nearly 20 years of generosity.”
The donation came in response to the Purdue Northwest Day of Giving, a once-a-year event that is a non-stop, 24-hour opportunity to support PNW’s student scholarships, academic programs, athletics and more.
