Credential Process
Explore the Purdue University Northwest Office of Concurrent Enrollment Programs High School Instructor Credentialing Process.
To initiate the Concurrent Enrollment credentialing process, interested instructors should complete an application.
Application and materials (resume and transcripts) will be forwarded to the appropriate department chair for review to be completed within seven days. The department chair will indicate one of three levels of approval based on PNW and HLC requirements. (Masters degree and 18 credit hours in subject area.)
- Instructor meets all PNW and HLC requirements
- Approval letter is generated; no future review is needed
- PUID and instructor accounts are created; Office of the Registrar will send confirmation letter to instructor, along with steps for login, FERPA certification, and grade submission
- Course is added to PNW system and Registration forms are created for the high school; if a new course/school, an Articulation Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) are created
- Instructor is in progress to meeting all PNW and HLC requirements
- Approval letter is generated, confirming remaining requirements for future review
- PUID and instructor accounts are created; Office of the Registrar will send confirmation letter to instructor, along with steps for login, FERPA certification, and grade submission
- Course is added to PNW system and Registration forms are created for the high school; if a new course/school, an Articulation Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) are created
- Instructor does not meet PNW and HLC requirements and is not making progress towards those requirements
- Denial letter is generated and sent to instructor, detailing missing requirements and steps to pursue credentialing in future
